IDRAMP album

In her ninth album "I Don't Rap About My Pu$$y," She Real delivers a powerful and unapologetic critique of the current state of Hip Hop, where hyper-sexualization often overshadows true artistry. This project is a bold statement in a genre that has increasingly reduced the contributions of Black women to mere stereotypes. With a commitment to substance over sensationalism, She Real reclaims the narrative through masterful lyricism, compelling storytelling, and sharp social commentary.

Bio

Hip Hop Saved My Life

She Real is a Harlem, NY native whose love for music began by watching her father write and record songs in their living room as a child. Her father, fostering her passion, encouraged her to write her first song at nine; but over a decade would pass before she ever considered music as a career.

She Real spent the next ten years chasing her dream of becoming a professional basketball player, until having an experience that completely changed her life. She Real was sexually assaulted by her then-boyfriend, and basketball was no longer enough to maintain her sanity. Music became a vice that assisted in transforming her pain into power. Choosing to pursue it as a career not only helped her find her voice but get her life back on track. Since then She Real has been performing and consistently releasing original music in hopes of inspiring others to channel their pain through something positive as well.

On September 3, 2024, She Real is set to release her ninth project entitled  "I Don't Rap About My Pu$$y". Continuously working; she has been featured on United Masters' Hitboy beatexchange competition, 300 Entertainment unplugged, Hot 97's Loaded Lux's Top Shelf Freestyle, Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Women's Cypher, BET Jams: Versed, Sway in the Morning (on four separate occasions), and as an opening act on the 2018 Joyner Lucas "I'm Kind Of A Big Deal Tour". She’s also made appearances in well-known publications such as Billboard, All Hip Hop, HipHopSince1987, Hip Hop Weekly, XXL, and Mechanical Dummy. She Real has had the opportunity to open up for artists such as Curren$y, Conway the Machine, Styles P, and Twista. She Real’s also toured colleges like Syracuse University, Howard University, NYU, and more.

Internationally, she was recently chosen by the Midem Festival as a 2019 pre-selection artist. She Real has also appeared as a featured performer in Paris, France five times; headlining the 2018 "Ready Or Not" Hip Hop competition, as well as featuring in DJ Idem's set at the L'ETAGE "Bless Paris" event. She has even appeared as a featured performer for CloudFest in Toronto, Canada.

She Real’s passion and work ethic are proof that life isn’t about what happens to you but how you respond to it. She believes that we all have the ability to transform our pain into power by being relentless in pursuing our passions.
